The Kaleidoscope Show Choir was added this last fall, with a group of 12 extremely talented students in grades 10-12. Built off of the concept of Glee, this choir learns a variety of music from the Beatles and the Jackson 5 to Sara Bareilles and Adele. Some of the numbers are full productions with exciting choreography, while others are beautifully sophisticated a cappella pieces. The choir only rehearses Sunday evenings from 6 pm-8:30 pm, so that you don't need to take a lot of time out of your busy schedules.

The choir is co-directed by Shelly Paznokos and Theresa DiCosimo. Shelly is a sophomore Visual Anthropology Major at Temple University. She has had extensive dance training, participated in her high school show choir and a cappella group, has formed her own collegiate a cappella group at Temple, and after participating in several of Theatre & Kids programs, is now on staff during the Summer Performing Arts Camps. Theresa is a graduate from Syracuse University with a BA in Music and a minor in theatre. She is currently the co-conductor and assistant director to the Cantabile Children's Choir, is part of the Theatre & Kids staff year round teaching music and aiding in shows as Music Director, Stage Manager, and Costume designer, and is a private voice teacher with a studio based out of Perkasie.

We already have an amazing core choir but we are searching for a few more excellent performers to help round out the choir, so if you like to sing, dance, and have fun please come out to the Kaleidoscope Show Choir auditions this Friday January 20 from 6:30 pm-8:30 pm or Sunday January 22 from 3 pm-5 pm.

Who: Any male in grades 9-12 or female in grades 10-12
Where: The Theatre & Kids Center

When: Friday January 20th 6:30 pm-8:30 pm
Sunday January 22nd 3 pm-5 pm
What: Please prepare any 32 measures (a verse and a chorus) of any song of your choosing to sing a cappella. We will then have you do some simple blending exercises, sight reading, harmony singing, and a dance routine. This may sound like a lot, but please don't be discouraged, it will be easier than it sounds!
