What can I do with T&K...????? Well....
Cantabile Children’s Choir – A treble voice children’s choir made up of 40+ students from grade 3-9 which has traveled from Chicago to Carolina, Toronto to Italy. Auditioned in the summer, then rehearsing and performing throughout the school year, it has won numerous awards and medals and is regarded as one of the finest choirs in the region.
Summer Performing Arts Camps – Offered in conjunction with North Penn Community Education in a district elementary or middle school, we work with over 300 campers and some 40 teen apprentices in two, three-week sessions of activity, challenge, and fun. Foundational classes plus over 30 electives, with staff talent shows, guests, theater trips, and two gala demo-performances.
Summer Show Camp - An August adventure where 35 young people grades 3-9 put on a full scale Broadway-style musical in two weeks of daytime rehearsals and camp activities. Meeting in a church for week one and "on location" at a regional theatre for week two under a dedicated and talented staff.
Summer Children’s Caravan Shows – Two auditioned, college-age troupes travel daily throughout the greater North Penn area, with over 60 morning performances of children’s and family theatre for day schools, senior centers, community programs, libraries, and summer camps.
Saturday Performing Arts Academy – Held at North Penn High School, these morning classes draw in over 100 students to study music, dance, drama, and lots more (past sessions have included comedy, Shakespeare, film production, improv, stage make-up, show choir, and more). A great introductory program for kids age 4 to 9th grade.
Children’s Theatre – Adult performers in fully-produced musical versions of children’s classics at various area venues as announced, December thru May. Saturday and mid-week mornings. Shows are about an hour in length and suitable for children over 3. (Due to the closing of the Lansdale Center for the Performing Arts, this year’s children’s theatre is still in the planning phase. Stay tuned!)
Theatre for Young Performers Productions – We produce several shows each year alternately featuring performers grades 3-9 and 7-12. Elaborate musicals, dramas, comedies, fantasies, and theatre classics are performed at area theatres and centers with casts chosen through open auditions from Sept. through July. Some are done at an area venue for day-school groups as a part of our Educational Theater Program.
Starlight Summer Theatre - A cast grade 9-adult takes on a more advanced musical production in full Broadway tradition. Gorgeous costumes, spectacular sets, and mature actors make this production a not-to-be-missed experience every year. It also features a cameo of some of our Cantabile Children's Choir members in small roles.
Kaleidoscope Show Choir - A new 16-voice high school choir specializing in a cappella and more advanced music works. Performing around the area and competeing in choir competitions locally. Ladies from grades 10-12 and gentlemen from grades 9-12.
Myrtle Art Gallery - A gallery featuring one local artist at a time, rotating monthly. Run by Stephanie R.S. Rosenblum and the Wild Poppy, this location also offers classes and private lessons for all ages. Gallery hours and other details available on the Myrtle Art Gallery page
Private Lessons- We offer a wide array of private lessons that can be taken on a recurring basis, or as a one time workshop (great for audition preparation!). Currently we offer lessons in voice, sewing, art, and acting, but other options can be discussed at the student’s request.
Down Center – Our newsletter which comes out several times per year (via email). It notifies our readers of upcoming T&K auditions, performances, classes, achievements, & special programs. CLICK HERE to join our mailing list!
